Cómodo&Co in collaboration with Swaeff © art consulting is happy to present the
Argentinean artist Bàrbara Mori.
The work of Mori (Buenos Aires, 1981) reveals great technical skills and knowledge of
material. Though her style is modern, her paintings have a timeless quality. Her use of color
and her expressive painterly handwriting bring forward associations with classic masters like
Rembrandt and William Turner.
By her use of textures and colors Mori creates harmony like a poet or a composer. In her work
it seems time has stopped. Landscapes are desolated and the furniture in some of her
paintings look as if it hasn’t been moved for decennia.
Mori’s paintings generate an atmosphere of the eternal. One could say that she has the
remarkable ability to paint silence. Her work reveals the beauty of the everlasting, of that what
stands above our daily life.
The exhibition will be presented in one of our beautiful old city mansions in the Gothic quarter
near the cathedral.
The exhibition space is located at about 200 meters from the cathedral going towards the
Plaza del Cort.
During the inauguration there will be musical entertainment and fine finger-food. The objective
of the evening is to create a setting in which art loving people can come together in a pleasant
environment to enjoy art and each others company.
In addition Swaeff © and Cómodo&Co will organize an art lounge on the same location during
the Nit de´L Art on September 18th.
